Volunteer Opportunities

AmeriCorps VISTA Community Harvest

Walla Walla Community Harvest is a gleaning program of Blue Mountain Action Council, created to support food assistance programs with fresh and local produce. Our goal is to increase the amount of fresh produce available by gleaning local farms, orchards and gardens. We believe everyone should have access to fresh and healthy foods.

Contact Casi Christensen to volunteer or donate fresh produce. Click here for program information. You can fill out the online application and email it to Casi Christensen.

Food Distribution Center

Organize a food drive or help with food distribution. To organize a drive: contact the food warehouse about special needs, collection barrels, banners and pick-up. Food distribution takes place once a month and requires help with preparing boxes, carry-out and distribution. Volunteers are also on call for food sorting after major food drives.
